Work on the new pitch came to an abrupt halt when the Shock Pad was found to be beyond repair.
This was surprising as due diligence and testing prior to any work indicated a repair would be possible.
The cost of a new Shock Pad is considerably more than the contingency fund.
However the extra funding has been found within two weeks.
Huge thanks to England Hockey, Sport England, Hazelwick School and Crawley HC for an outstanding joint effort.
We are back on track for the best Christmas and New Year.
