CHC M4 took on Lewes M6 in a must win game for CHC. The match didn't start well, with CHC losing the toss and so starting with the low sun in their eyes at Hazelwick. However, CHC kept their shape, passed the ball well, defended strongly and attacked where possible. CHC were generally on the front foot, and the pressure eased when CHC scored a short corner goal mid way through the first half. This was followed by a second well worked CHC short corner crossing the line. In the second half, CHC focused on creating more 'off the ball' movement, despite tired legs, to help create opportunities for free hit takers. The final 15 mins were a succession of attacks and counter attacks, but with CHC defence remaining firm and providing the start of CHC counter attacks. CHC was eventually rewarded with a belter of a goal, from great movement and selfless passing. Fantastic CHC M4s 3,0 win. MoM Mark, but an all round excellent team performance. We go again next week.
