Crawley ladies 1 played Worthing away on a wet and windy afternoon on Saturday. Crawley played well and at half time Crawley were 3 - 0 up with goals scored by Chloe Silver and Lorna Maskell from open play, and a short corner scored by Fiona Bettesworth. The defence battled hard, with saves being made by Chris Hunt in goal. After half time, Worthing came back at Crawley but great defending from Rosie Daines and Becky Whitelock meant that they were denied even making a clean shot on goal. Crawley continued to dominate the game putting constant pressure on the Worthing defence and were rewarded with another goal from Lorna Maskell and a straight strike for Sue Allen from a short corner to seal their win at 5 - 0. Crawley Ladies 1s are currently 3rd in the league, just 1 point behind South Saxons who they play at home next weekend.
