Hockey on the BBC
A small hockey plea. EH have worked really hard with the BBC since the Commonwealth Games to get them to televise hockey on free to air channels (I know this is red button, but it is still free).
BBC argument is that when televised historically, hockey didn't get the 50K threshold of viewers that it has a baseline for televising specific sports.
It would be great to smash that number and show that hockey players are also watchers. Please spread the message and see if we can get eyeballs on the games.

As the GB men’s and women’s teams put the final preparations in place for the Olympic Qualifiers, BBC Sport will broadcast all GB matches on their digital platforms.

The women’s team will be in Valencia 13 - 21 Jan and have been drawn in Pool B where they will face Canada, Malaysia and Spain while the men’s team will be travelling to Oman 15-21 Jan and will take on China, Malaysia and Pakistan in Pool A.

The teams need to secure a place in the top three of their respective tournaments to qualify their place at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
