Match Report – Crawley Ladies 1’s Vs Worthing
Crawley ladies 1’s continue their winning streak after a two week break with a 10 -1 defeat against Worthing. Crawley went out hard to start, keeping the intensity up. A series of great simple passes saw Sue Allan score the first goal. Crawley continued to play well and stayed strong leading to great results with another two goals from Sue and two from Lorna taking the total to 5-0 at half time. Worthing started well in the second half with an attack down the right wing, but Crawley defended well. Pressure was soon back on Worthing’s defence, with a great strike by Fiona adding another goal to the score board. Worthing’s goalie continued to test Crawley forwards with some great saves, however she could not hold of Fran from scoring a seventh goal. A minor moment of complacency by Crawley saw Worthing score a goal, taking the score to 7-1. Crawly soon regained concentration scoring another three goals; one from Sue, Lorna and Fiona taking the final score to 10-1. Great play by Lorna and Alice throughout the match saw them voted joint man of the match.
